Interesting Trend In Stats Of H1-B Applications!

Masters students want to move to the US for further studies. H1B Visas are their aim as they can remain in the land of opportunities for a longer period for employment opportunities. However the aspirants are facing a tough time with the selection process.

There is an interesting trend as far as the H1-B visas are concerned as the numbers change in every Fiscal Year. Since 2021, the numbers have been picking up massively and for the fiscal year 2024, the numbers reached almost an all-time high. Again the numbers saw a dip in 2025.

For the Fiscal year 2023, as many as 483,927 applications were filed. Cut to 2024, the numbers almost increased by two folds with 780,884. The next fiscal year saw a big dip with 479,953.

Looking at the numbers, the numbers are changing rapidly after a jump in applications for three consecutive years, there was a big jump and a slight dip. Considering this, we cannot say that there are no takers for the Visas. Every lakhs lakhs of applications are sent which shows the demand and craze.

Though we are seeing lakhs of applications for H-1b Visas every year, not everyone can be lucky with the cap. Every year only 85,000 applications would be accepted. Out of them, 65,000 are normal ones while the rest are additional ones.

It is known that the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services approves the applications randomly. Earlier it was an electronic model. However, a lottery system is being followed for selecting the applications.
