Chennai Super Kings batsman Ruturaj Gaikwad, who is yet to recover from Covid-19, remains in isolation and is unlikely to be available for the IPL opening match against Mumbai Indians on September 19 in Abu Dhabi.

Gaikwad, along with Deepak Chahar tested positive for coronavirus last month. Chahar, however, tested negative and returned to training last week. Meanwhile, Gaikwad is yet to clear the two mandatory virus tests to join the squad.

"Ruturaj has still not been cleared by the BCCI medical team and is in isolation. He is unlikely to be available for the first match. We are expecting him back in the (bubble) in the next couple of days and he is doing absolutely fine," CSK CEO Kasi Viswanathan said.

As Suresh Raina and spinner Harbhajan Singh pulled out of the tournament, Visawanthan said the team has not decided on their replacements yet.
