NGT Crew Visits The Old TS Secretariat Demolition Site For Inspection

After a petition was filed alleging that the Environmental norms were not followed during the demolition process of the old Telangana Secretariat Complex, a team comprising of National Green Tribunal(NGT) officials visited the site to inspect
Going into detail, Congress MP Revanth Reddy knocked the doors of Green Tribunal and appealed to the body to issue directives to hold the demolition works and cited that the state government
Following this, the NGT team visited the old Secretariat complex to see whether the state government followed the environmental norms or not.
The NGT which earlier heard the petition filed by MP Revanth Reddy maintained that they cannot intervene in the issue as the issue is in the state High Court and constituted an expert committee to look into the matter.
The expert committee will study various issues regarding the demolition process including the management of the demolition sites and submit a detailed report in two months.
