Mayor Rammohan in land scam?

Why are the TRS leaders getting embroiled in one real estate scam after another? After allegations by Congress leader Revanth Reddy that TRS working president and minister KTR has built a farmhouse in the catchment areas of lakes in Janwada, it is now the turn of Mayor Bonthu Rammohan to court controversy.
Several senior citizens, who own plots in the Narsingi based West Meadows, have lodged a complaint against Bonthu Rammohan's wife Bonthu Sridevi and some other supporters claiming that they have grabbed their land in two acres area. They claimed that the land is worth Rs 100 crore. They said mayor's henchmen have illegally encroached lands belonging to them and erected sign boards on the same place. They also blamed former joint collector Harish for "colludingâ with the mayor. However, Mayor said that the land was an unauthorised layout and that there was no question of grabbing the land.
Mayor, whose term is set to end soon, finds himself in a soup over the issue. Meanwhile, the plot owners in Western Meadows are planning to approach minister KTR on this issue.
