Vishal might have never thought that in a weekend where Nagarjuna film and a young hero, Raj Tharun film released, his dubbed film will be the top grosser.
Such in the fate of Officer and Rajugadu that released in the last weekend of Summer.
Many thought at least Rajugadu will give a stiff competition but the movie did not even bring in decent openings. As expected Officer became a huge disaster that Nagarjuna could ever forget.
The hero even acknowledged and said he is moving on, on social media.
On the other hand, with decent content and more explanation on scams that happen around us without our knowledge, Abhimanyudu did a perfect job in serving neat entertainer.
Even though critics did found it underwhelming, the movie became a success by collecting Rs. 6.35 crores gross and Rs. 3.8 crores share in the two states.
This is huge for a dubbed film and the movie seems to have given Vishal a positive energy to release his next Sandakozhi 2, Pandem Kodi 2 in Telugu on a wide scale.
His previous film, Detective also got some decent revenues. Looks like Vishal is slowly re-building his Telugu market.
