Why Telangana Advocate General Resigned?

The resignation submitted by Telangana Advocate General D Prakash Reddy to the State Government is now raising many eye-brows. Though he cited personal issues, The case related to the expulsion of Congress MLAs could be the actual reason behind the resignation.

Unruly Behaviour of Congress MLAs during Governor's Address resulted in an eye-injury to Legislative Council Chairman Swamy Goud. Speaker expelled MLAs Komatireddy and Sampath Kumar. Later, Congress moved High Court against the disqualification.

While arguing on behalf of Telangana Government, Advocate General Prakash Reddy orally assured that unedited video footage of the ruckus during Governor's Address would be produced before the bench on March 22nd. However, KCR wasn't happy with this assurance given by AG without the consent of the State Government. Additional Advocate General K Ramachandra Rao appeared in the court on behalf of Government instead of Prakash Reddy when the case came up for hearing on March 22nd. TRS Government even contemplated on roping Supreme Court lawyer Harish Salve to gain upper hand in the case. All these developments might have prompted Prakash Reddy to submit his resignation.
