These days many actresses from other languages are showing up in our Telugu films more than ever and even our audience are accepting them if they turn out to be good looking and decent performers. Nikhila Vimal, who is the current favourite in Malayalam and Tamil Cinema, has decided to join the Telugu Cinema with the movie, Meda Mida Abbayi, besides Allari Naresh.
Alalri Naresh has been waiting for a hit from past few years and this movie is his attempt to try something different in comedy mixed with serious story telling. Nivin Pauly's Oru Vadakkan Selfie is being remade as Meda Mida Abbayi, with same director G. Prajit at the helm. Nikhila Vimal, who rejected many Telugu cinema offers previously shared why she wanted to do this movie. She said, " I think language is the major source for you to identify the emotion and perform accordingly. As I am equipped with Telugu, I decided not take up the projects that came my way.
" But as I knew Prajith and as he is also a Malayali, I worked in this movie. After, working in the movie, I am confident about myself and I am able understand Telugu now. Soon, I will speak fluently." Well, the actress said, she doesn't want to be typecast and wants to be known more as an actress than just a glam doll. She is doing "Gayatri" with Mohan Babu as her next film in Telugu.
