AP Cabinet First Meeting: Crucial Decisions!

The First Cabinet Meeting chaired by YS Jaganmohan Reddy lasted for close to six hours. Some of the key decisions were taken by the AP Cabinet in this meeting.
27 Percent Interim Relief (IR) will be offered to Government Employees from July 2019. This move comes as a relief for employees as the 11th Pay Revision Commission (PRC) is yet to submit the report.
Increase of Salary for Accredited Social Health Activist (ASHA) Workers from Rs 3,000 to Rs 10,000 per month.
Increase of Salary for Community Health Workers under the Tribal Welfare Department from Rs 400 to Rs 4,000 per month. About 7,265 Health Workers will get benefitted by it.
Increase of Social Security Pension for Senior Citizens, Widows and other beneficiaries from Rs 2,000 to Rs 2,250.
Setting up a Panel to take a call on the merger of loss-making APSRTC with the AP Government.
Constituting a Committee to scrap the Contributory Pension Schemes (CPS).
Implementing direct Cash Transfer Scheme for the welfare of Farmers in the state.
