Tantric Pooja in Durga Temple? It's True!

Reports of Tantrik Pooja at Kanaka Durga Temple in Vijayawada on December 26th last year kicked up a storm. Initially, Temple EO Surya Kumari denied the possibility any such poojas in the temple premises. Finally, Government ordered for a probe to put an end to the mounting criticism.
Police investigated the case based on the Call Data. They reached a conclusion that Tantric Pooja was indeed performed by two private priests (Amanchi Srujan and Ghantasala Parthasaradhy). At around 10.30 PM on 26th of December, Tantric Pooja was performed by removing the ornaments of the Goddess. Even Non-Veg & Liquor was offered to the deity.
AP Government decided to sack the Durga Temple EO Surya Kumari for indulging in such an unacceptable practice. Based on the report, Action would be initiated against few others involved in tantric pooja episode.
Devotees are furious at the manner in which sanctity of the Durga Temple was spoiled. They believe any such activities will prove costly for the mankind.
