One More Telugu Film Heading Towards Digital Release

Since the lockdown forced the theatres to shut, the ready to release films are queuing for the direct digital release. Amid huge loses, the producers are looking towards OTT platforms to cover their debts.
As of now, Vidya Balan's Shakuntala Devi, Amitabh Bachchan-Ayushmann Khurrana's Gulabo Sitabo, Akshay Kumar starrer Laxmmi Bomb, Keerthy Suresh' Penguin head towards direct OTT release ditching the traditional theatrical release.
Coming to Tollywood, the producers are unable to decide over this and only one film, Amrutharamam was released digitally.
Now, the sources confirm that another Telugu film, "Krishna and his Leela", starring Sidhu Jonnalagadda, Shraddha Srinath, Seerat Kapoor and Shalini Vadnikatti is releasing digitally later this month.
The relationship drama is co-produced by Suresh Productions, Viacom 18, and Sanjay Reddy, and jointly written by director Ravikanth Perepu and actor Sidhu Jonnalagadda.
Recently, one of the heroines in the film, Shraddha Srinath has hinted that film will be released in OTT. She posted a tweet, 'Coming to your devices.' With this, we can understand that the makers opted OTT platform over theatrical release.
