The situation in India is turning out to be worse from bad as the country has been reporting the highest spike of fresh cases every other day. On Sunday and Monday, India reported over 90,000 fresh cases.

As the latest development, India reported the highest surge of fresh cases in a single day so far in the country with 95,735 fresh infections. With this, the total cases mounted to 44,65,863 and heading towards the 45 lakh-mark.

The only good thing that favors India is that pandemic recoveries have been increasing in India steadily. So far 34,71,783 patients have been recovered from the ongoing pandemic including 72939 new cases. The active cases stood at 9,19,018.

India straightaway reported more than 1100 fresh casualties for three consecutive days with 1172 fresh fatalities. The total fatalities in connection with the virus rose to 75,062

Telangana added as many as 2,534 fresh Coronavirus infections in the last 24 hours taking the toll of the total cases to 1,50,176. So far, 1,17,143 patients have been recovered, while the active cases stood at 32,106.

Fellow Telugu State Andhra Pradesh witnessed 10,418 fresh cases taking the total cases in the state to 5,27,512. 4,634 patients succumbed to the dreaded virus so far.

Maharashtra, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, and Tamil Nadu, are named as the worst affected states in the country by the Union Health Ministry. These states hold around 61 percent.

The global Coronavirus infections mounted to 28,011,870. While 20,082,808 patients have been recovered so far and 907,248 patients lost their lives to the contagious disease.

United States(6,548,737), India(4,465,863), Brazil (4,199,332) and Russia (1,041,007) are the top four worst-affected nations globally with the virus outbreak.
