SC Fires On Centre @ AP Reorganisation Act
X
The Supreme Court Today directed Centre to file its response on the petition seeking direction for proper implementation of the AP Reorganisation Act 2014. A bench of Justices AK Sikri and Ashok Bhushan expressed their anguish on the Centre: 'What you have done? Four Years have passed but nothing happened. File your response'.

Congress MLC Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy filed the plea complaining several provisions in the AP Reorganisation Act 2014 haven't been implemented by Union Government till date. 'Such an injustice will lower the trust people have on Parliament. Telugu People in both the states are facing many hardships because of the insensitive approach of the Delhi Rulers,' complains the petitioner.

Advocate Sravan Kumar argued for Ponguleti in the Apex Court. He complained nothing much has been done by Centre though the Act came into force on June 2014 itself.

Supreme Court had given four weeks time for Additional Solicitor General (ASG) Maninder Singh to file a reply.
