KCR biopic announced

Director Lakshman who made his debut with 'Bandook' is all set to do the biopic of none other than Telangana crusader K Chandrasekhar Rao. The motion poster of the biopic titled as 'Gulal' was launched by 'Baahubali' writer YV Vijayendra Prasad.
Source close to the unit say, Bollywood actor Nawazuddin Siddique was approached to play the role of KCR in 'Gulal'. In the past, Nawazuddin reprised the role of Bihar's Mountain Man 'Dashrath Manjhi' in the biopic 'Manjhi'. He is someone capable of doing complete justice to the role of KCR.
'Gulal' will cover all the key phases of KCR from childhood to his present position as the first CM of Telangana State. Nawazuddin seems to have responded positively to the proposal after knowing the life story of Telangana CM.
Interestingly, Director Madhura Sridhar had announced KCR biopic in the past and he even approached Nawazuddin for the lead role. There is no progress since then and it gave a feeling that he might have shelved the project.
