BJP President Amit Shah embarrassed BJP's Chief Ministerial candidate in Karnataka, BS Yeddyurappa, with a slip of tongue.
At the meeting in Davanagere, Amit Shah commented: 'A retired Supreme Court Judge has recently opined Yeddyurappa Government is the most corrupt'.
Quickly, The BJP Chief corrected his mistake but couldn't prevent the damage from happening and the video went viral. Actress and Former Congress MP Divya Spandana tweeted: 'Who knew Amit Shah could also speak the truth..we all concur with you Amit Ji, BS Yeddyurappa's BJP is the most corrupt'.
Yeddyurappa was the CM of first BJP Government in Karnataka from 2008 to 2013. He, however, was forced to step down in August 2011 due to corruption allegations by Lokayukta for alleged nexus with illegal iron-ore in Bellary. In 2016, He was acquitted in the Rs 40 crore bribe case. BJP announced Yeddyurappa as it's CM Candidate for 2018 Karnataka Assembly Polls.
