The Advocate General of Andhra Pradesh, Sriram Subramanyam in his oral submission to the state High Court said that until the state legislature passes the AP Capital Region Development Authority Act and the three capitals bill, the AP Government will not shift the Administration capital from Amaravati to Vishakapatnam.

Subramanyam told the court that till the decentralization and repeal of APCRDA Act bills were passed and made legislation, the capital shifting in the state will not take place.

Earlier the High Court ordered the state advocate general to either record his statement or submit an affidavit before the court that the state government will not shift the capital until the bills were passed.

The state assembly passed these bills earlier but the state legislative council did not approve the bills and referred the two bills to the select committee for reviewing the same.

The High Court heard a petition filed by the Amaravati farmers on the capital shifting and Unnam Muralidhar Rao who represented the Amravati farmers referred to a recent press meet of YSRCP MP Vijayasai Reddy on capital shifting.

The High Court gave ten days for the Advocate General to file an affidavit on this plea.
