AP Budget Sessions: Government Announces Various Welfare Schemes

The much-awaited Budget sessions of Andhra Pradesh has started and the state government led by Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy introduced the budget with an estimation of 2,24,789.18 for 2020-21.

The session started with the Governor's speech through video conference and Finance Minister Buggana Rajender Reddy introduced the state budget in the house with 1,80,392 Revenue expenditure.

Speaking in the house, Buggana said that the government is aimed at implementing various welfare schemes and no matter how many obstacles come in between they will implement them.

Looking at the allotments, the government released Rs 11,891 crores for agriculture, Rs. 3,615 crores for YSR Raithu Bharosa, 3,000 crores for Prize Stabilization, Rs 1,100 crore for interest-free loans.

The government has also allotted Rs 1,998.55 crores for the welfare of Minorities and Rs 1,840 crores for the welfare of STs and Rs 7,525 crores for SC's, Rs 2,845 crores for Kapu Welfare.

In addition to that, Rs 3000 crores were allotted for YSR Gruha Vasathi, Rs 2,540 crores for Awas Yojana Urban, Rs 500 crores for Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana(Rural) and Rs 150 crores for constructing houses for the weaker sections.
