Suriya Sivakumar decided to give Selva Raghavan a chance after almost two decades of both the actor, directors have been in touch with each other.
Selva made 7/G Brindavan Colony and Aduvari Matalaku Ardhaale Verule in Telugu, before. He is the elder brother of Dhanush and he made Tamil classics with his brother.
One of the classics is Pudupettai. It released as Dhoolpet in Telugu but did not become a hit. Sneha is the lead heroine in the film and Dhanush played a normal guy from slums who raises as a gangster and becomes politician.
Suriya's NGK too seems to follow Pudupettai formula and it seems to have a strong political background too.
Suriya has been staying away from political films from long time but Selva seems to have come up with a character that he likes a lot.
The teaser of the film came out on 14th February and it made many social media analysts to come up with common factors between Pudupettai and NGK.
The movie is releasing on 12th April and the fans of Rakul Preet Singh, Sai Pallavi are eagerly waiting for the film.
