With elections fast approaching, several top government employees union leaders are now looking for a career in politics. This happens every time and is happening this time too.

With KCR indicating that there would be snap polls, several NGO leaders are now planning to jump into the electoral fray. Last time in 2014, NGO leaders like Swami Goud and Srinivas Goud have become legislators. In fact, Swami Goud went on to becme chairperson of the Telangana legislative council. In Andhra, NGO leaders like Ashok Babu played a key role in politics, but stopped short of contesting.

This time again. Telangana NGO association president Karam Ravinder Reddy is planning to contest from Warangal. He had already met KCR with a request to be nominated for the MLA seat. Another prominent government official and Employee JAC chairperson Subba Rao too is said to be trying his luck. Another key government official from the Panchayat Raj department too is trying hard and has approached both the TRS and the Congress. An employee from the labour department in Nizamabad too is trying to contest from Nizamabad.

In AP, thereis a demand for Ashok Babu to join the TDP. Meanwhile, former CM Kiran Kumar Reddy too has invited Ashok Babu to join the Congress. In case he joins the TDP, he might be fielded from Krishna district. Another employee, who worked in key positions in Panchayat raj and zilla parishad in Vizag too, wants to contest elections this time. He had earlier tried for a TDP ticket, but the latest buzz is that he has approached the YSRCP for ticket.
