Gandhiji's Principles Are Immortal: Nikky Haley

US Ambassador to UN, Nikky Haley visited Mahatma Gandhi Memorial of North Texas (MGMNT) on May 23 and she paid rich tributes to Gandhi. MGMNT chairman Prasad Thotakura said that it is special for them to see the ambassador at the memorial because she attended as chief guest for the groundbreaking ceremony in 2014 when she was the Governor of South Carolina.
He said that they were able to raise nearly $1 million within five hours to build largest Gandhi Memorial in the USA. The memorial was inaugurated by Gandhiji's great-grandson Satish Dhupelia on October 2, 2014.
Nikki Haley appreciated the chairman Prasad Thotakura and MGMNT team for their efforts in bringing up the Gandhi memorial and said that the memorial will stand tall as an inspiration to the future generations to come. She said that Gandhiji is a world leader and his principles are immortal.
