Pooja Hegde became a hotshot heroine in Tollywood after the release of 'DJ'. Though she appeared in a few films earlier, it was her glamorous appearance in 'DJ' that brought her instant craze. She bagged a few good projects immediately after 'DJ'.

Had she not become a heroine, what would have she become? When she was asked about, she said that she wanted to become a postman when she was a child. She wanted to become a photographer later. Her thoughts changed later and she wanted to become a big model.
She said that "It was my fate that brought me here." She said that she can't imagine what she would have become, had she not become a heroine.
