Shooting has been wrapped up in just close to 80 days and release was preponed by a Month. Finally, 'Paisa Vasool' arrived Today. What it's gonna offer?

Synopsis:

Theda Singh (Balakrishna), a gangster, who is good at breaking bones receives a lucrative offer from Cops one day. What is it all about?

Bob Marley (Vikramjeet Malik), a Mafia Don operating from Europe, creates law & order situation in India. All the attempts made by the Police Force to destroy his crime world fail. That's when Cops lure Theda Singh with money to accomplish the task of getting rid of Bob Marley. To their shock, Cops realize Theda Singh had joined hands with Bob Marley much before they approached him. After a point, Even Bob Marley Gang gets to know the actual mission of Theda Singh. 'Paisa Vasool' is all about how well Theda Singh plays this dangerous game with Mafia & Police.

Performances:

'Paisa Vasool' is a one man show of Balakrishna. As expected, Balayya appeared in never-seen-before role. Fans will go crazy with his attitude, dialogue delivery and mannerisms. Nandamuri Hero moulded himself pretty well to suit Puri's Style.

Shriya Saran's role has got good importance & she appears in a glamorous manner. Muskaan looks pretty but she doesn't have much scope to perform. Kyra Dutt as Cops is a complete misfit. Vikramjeet as Main Antagonist does a fine job. Kabir Bedi is just okay. Ali fails to tickle the funny bone. Srikanth Ayyangar does well as a Minister.

Pros:

Balakrishna

Dialogues

First Half

Cons:

Storyline

Kyra Dutt as Cop

Climax

Technicalities:

Music by Anup Rubens doesn't disappoint though he isn't known for his Mass Tunes. Composition, Placement and Picturization of 'Paisa Vasool', 'Padamari' and 'Ek Peg La' Songs are appreciable. But, 'Kannu Kannu Kalisenu' Track could have been better. Background Score is good. Mukesh's Camera Work is as per Puri's style. Production Values aren't bad either. Puri Jagannath has left a mark of his own on 'Paisa Vasool' with Balayya's characterization, dialogues and fights. He, however, disappoints with routine story & screenplay. Lack of freshness in the plot gives an impression of watching an ordinary flick.

Analysis:

First things first, 'Paisa Vasool' is a film solely made to thrill the Nandamuri Fans. Balakrishna & Puri made it clear during the Interval & Climax - 'Abhimanulaku Matrame - Itharulaku Anumathi Ledu'. Audience will enjoy the film thoroughly if they are content watching Balayya in a never before avatar. Expecting anything more than it would be disappointing to say the least.

Puri Jagannath have the knack of entertaing the Movie Lovers with typical Hero Characterizations. Be it 'Idiot', 'Pokiri' and 'Temper', The attitude, mannerisms, dialogue delivery and body language of Protagonists are something which Movie Buffs appreciate even Today. In 'Paisa Vasool', Balayya entertains with Puri-mark attitude and his overall performance. Had if the Story & Screenplay are refreshing, The result of 'Paisa Vasool' could have been a lot better. Sadly, These are the elements which didn't click here.

How many times does Puri Jagannath show his villain as a Mafia Don? It has come to the stage that Audience started feeling monotony. First Half of 'Paisa Vasool' is entertaining. Balayya gives hardly any scope for viewers to think about the story. Such is the impact he creates as Theda Singh. Balayya's Attitude & Mannerisms, Dialogues penned by Puri are spot on. Not just Fans, Even General Audience will be enjoying these portions.

The focus of Puri is mainly on Hero-elevation Scenes & Fan Moments in the First Half. From Second Half, Story shifts to a serious mode and loses the track as well. Flashback Episode doesn't leave a good impact. Few Scenes remind us of films such as 'Pokiri' and 'Iddarammayilatho'. Puri picturized the interview of RAW Agent in a most funny manner. Upon watching this sequence, Audience lack interest to watch Climax and even the ending doesn't excite the viewer at all.

Bottom Line:
Only for Fans - Outsiders Not Allowed!
