A Gunman identified as Omar Mateen created a massacre in USA on Sunday. The 29-Year-Old who was born in New York & a resident of Florida opened fire during the gay pride celebration at a nightclub in Orlando. As many as 50 people were killed so far and 53 others suffered serious injuries. Officials fear the death toll could climb in the next few hours. At last, Cops killed Omar during the exchange of fire this morning.
Omar Mateen is the son of Afghanistan Immigrants. While his father apologized for the unpardonable crime, His former wife says Omar is emotional, violent and mentally disturbed. She even complains about facing physical abuse while being in a relationship with her.
The Shooter worked as armed guard for World's largest security firm G4S. After opening fire at the Latin Music Concert participated by 350-odd people, Omar made calls to 911 to declare his allegiance to the leader of ISIS. However, FBI hasn't found any kind of direct links between Omar and ISIS so far.
This is the deadliest mass shooting in US History. US President Barack Obama describes it as a act of terror and hate.
In 2007, About 32 People were killed in similar manner at the Virginia Tech University.
