The Village Volunteer system brought by the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has come in handy when the COVID-19 pandemic hit the state with more than 800 positive cases reported from the state.

The Village Volunteers were been assisting the medical staff and emergency forces by dong home-to-home survey about the virus and creating awareness in the public through campaigns.

While the Volunteers are playing their part in these tough situations, some volunteers were violating the lockdown rules bringing bad name for the entire system of village volunteers.

Going into details, 11 Village volunteers who hail from the Yelamanchali Mandal of Vishakapatnam partied at a farm and the police who were given a tip-off about this filed cases on all of them.

Totaada Kumar who works as the Village volunteer at Etikopaka Panchayat gave a party to his fellow volunteers on the occasion of his son's birthday. Pictures of them partying went viral on social media.

In the pictures, they can be seen as having food without wearing any masks and not following social distance. The same was brought to the notice of Rural SI and took all of them into custody.
