The dream of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to end corruption in India mayn't be fulfilled anytime soon.
As per the recent Survey of Germany-based Transparency International, India is the most corrupt nation in the Asia Pacific Region. The Tricolor Nation have the highest bribery rate of 69 percent among the countries surveyed. Corruption is mostly happening in Schools, Hospitals, Government Offices issuing Certificates and Police Department.
Vietnam, Thailand, Pakistan and Myanmar are ranked next to India in the list of Top 5 Most Corrupt Nations. While the bribery rate is 65 percent in Vietnam, It's 40 percent in Pakistan. 20,000 Respondents from 16 Nations have took part in the survey and the agency has spent 18 Months on this exercise.
Transparency International lauded the efforts of PM Narendra Modi to curb corruption. It also mentioned that most of the Indians believe NaMo could succeed in his war against corruption.
