YS Jaganmohan Reddy decided to fight against the irregularities in the voters list of Andhra Pradesh ahead of the 2019 Elections. He lodged a complaint with the Chief Election Commission over the presence of lakhs of fake votes.

Addressing media, Opposition Leader alleged TDP has registered huge number of fake votes and removed the votes of YCP Sympathisers. He even found fault with the functioning of AP DGP RP Thakur. 'TDP Government has been misusing power to create fake votes and remove valid votes. As many as 60 lakh fake votes exist in AP. 20 lakh people have votes in both AP and Telangana. TDP has been conducting surveys frequently. Based on this data, Votes of YCP Sympathisers were removed. Around 4 lakh YCP Supporters lost their votes in the same manner. AP DGP RP Thakur is acting as per Government's directions in this matter. He can't be involved in the electoral process. We will complain to the Union Home Ministry against him,' he informed.

Jagan alleged TDP Government offered top priority to Kammas in the CI promotions citing 35 out 37 belong to one community.

YCP Parliamentary Party Leader Vijay Sai Reddy, Former MPs Mekapati, YV Subba Reddy, Mithun Reddy, Vara Prasad and V Prabhakar Reddy accompanied YS Jagan when he went to meet the officials of Chief Election Commission on Monday.
