India's First Uterus Transplant soon!

Uterus Transplant, an advanced technology offering a chance for women without uterus to bear children, is likely to available in India soon. This technology is a boon for women born without uterus and those who lost it due to some ailment.
Medical Council of India (MCI) permitted Dr.Mats Brannstron to carry out the uterus transplant surgery in the country. The Sweden-based Doctor collaborated by HCG Hospitals and Fertility Centre Milann for bringing the advanced technology to India. Already, About 15 Patients were identified for the procedure and they have given their consent for Uterus Transplant. India's First Womb Donor is going to be a Bengaluru woman.
Mats Brannstron successfully performed an Uterus Transplant in Sweden in October 2014. That's for the first time an healthy baby was born to an Uterus Transplant recipient.
As per statistics, One in 5,000 Women are born without Uterus. So, Uterus Transplant will be off great use for women who can't conceive a baby.
