A tense situation arose in the premises of Andhra Pradesh Secretariat and Assembly as 19 people were found infected with the contagious disease. With this, the total cases in the house rose to 138.
The growth of the infections inculcated fear in the employees as they are fearing to come to the office and render their services.
With the situation reaching an alarming level, the authorities reportedly closed the entrance gates of Secretariat and Assembly complexes as a safety measure.
The Main Entrance Gate 1 that leads to Secretariat and Main Entrance Gate 2 that leads to the state Assembly were closed and the employees under special duties were only being permitted allegedly.
