How BJP Duped Ineffective Opposition In Rajya Sabha?

Besides abrogating Article 370 and 35 A and fully integrating J&K into India, the Modi government has achieved another major political objective. It has exposed the chinks in the Opposition armour. It showed that the Opposition was disunited, disorganised and utterly unprepared for the Government's mercurial move.
In the Rajya Sabha, it succeeded in weaning away parties like BJD, AIADMK, BSP, Aam Admi Party, TRS, YSRCP and even TDP. This has virtually sealed the fate of opposition protest. The Congress benhes were almost empty and many MPs did not attend despite knowing fully well that something very big was going to happen on Monday. The Government has used the surprise element to beat the Opposition. The advance copies of the bill were not circulated among the members. Due to this, the Opposition MPs were caught unawares.
BJP sources said that the party strategists have got a grasp of the differences and ego clashes among the Opposition parties and had exploited them during the passing of various bills like the UAPA bill, NIA amendment bill and Kashmir reservation bill. They finetuned their strategy for the big day on Monday and completely floored the Opposition.
