Two People arrested for Nandyal Pre-Poll Survey

Web Designer & Editor of the website Netibharatham.com were arrested in Hyderabad for publishing a pre-poll survey of Nandyal by-election held on August 23rd. D Ranjit Kumar (web designer) who is the owner & Kuna Ajay Babu (administrator/editor) of the website have been sent to judicial custody.
The Website reported that YSR Congress candidate Shilpa Mohan Reddy will win Nandyal by-poll with margin of 4,551 votes. It claimed the Survey is based on the leaked Intelligence Report of AP CMO and had been published with AP Government logo.
Publishing or Reporting Poll Surveys is a violation of Model Code of Conduct. Returning Officer lodged a complaint against the site. A case was registered under sections 420, 468, 471 of IPC apart from Section 126 (1) of People Act & IT Act for preparing fabricated document.
Contrary to the report published by the website, TDP won Nandyal by-election with a majority of over 27,000 votes.
