IPS Officer as an Item Girl?

Puri Jagannadh is known for his hero characters and also, the way he launches a heroine in Telugu Cinema, Many of the actresses like Ileana, Rakshitha, Asin, Catherine Teresa, have become popular actresses after acting in his movies as their early films. In the same way, Mumaith Khan too became an actress after Puri Jagannadh launched her in Telugu as an Item Girl in Pokiri.
But the director seems to be losing that touch completely as many actresses introduced by him in recent movies couldn't impress anyone. Many thought Paisa Vasool will change all that as the movie trailers and teasers became extremely popular. Kyra Dutt among the actresses seemed to have the best exposure as the item song teaser as generated more buzz.
Kyra Dutt, who is successful as a model, turned into an actress in Telugu movies and started to attract audience with various special item songs. She got a good role in this movie as IPS Officer, Kiranmayi and many thought this will be her break through. But showing her as an item girl and an undercover cop, did not sit with the audience well and many are criticising director for that. Even Kyra Dutt seems to be not getting many offers post the release. Puri said that he likes Police and respect them the most. So, what will he say and how will he answer about these comments needs to be seen!
