COVID-19 Cases In Ahmedabad To Reach 8 Lakh By May 31?

Gujarat state witnessed 217 fresh COVID-19 on Thursday itself which takes the toll of the positive cases of novel coronavirus to 2,624 in the state which is the second-worst hit in the Country just after Maharashtra.
As of now, 112 COVID-19 fatalities were reported in the state while 258 patients have recovered from the virus and discharged from the hospitals accordingly. The rapid growth of positive cases has reached an alarming level.
Talking about the same, the Ahmedabad Municipal Commissioner Vijay Nehra expressed his concerns and fears about the deadly outbreak of the virus as the positive cases are doubling at regular intervals.
Vijay Nehra went on to say that if the positive cases of COVID-19 continue to double once in every four days, the count of positive cases in the district might reach 50,000 by the 15th of May and the toll will jump to a whopping 8 lakh cases by the end of the 31st of May.
Talking about the Indian scenario, the toll of positive cases stood at 23,077 while 718 patients succumbed to the fatal virus to date. Till now 4,748 managed to recover from the virus.
