The success story of "Manjummel Boys" has hit a snag. Despite the Malayalam film's impressive box office run, exceeding ₹ 200 crore, the producers are facing a legal battle. A court in Kerala has ordered a freeze on their bank accounts following a petition filed on Saturday by an Aroor resident.

The petitioner, Siraj Valiyathara, claims he was promised a 40% share of the profits by Parava Films, the production company behind "Manjummel Boys," and partner Shawn Antony. He alleges that he invested Rs 7 crore in the project but has yet to receive any payment despite the film's success. According to reports, an additional sub-judge heard the case and issued the order to freeze the bank accounts of Shawn Antony, Babu Shahir, and Soubin Shahir, all associated with the production. The producers have been served a notice by the court.

"Manjummel Boys" garnered positive reviews and enjoyed a strong 50-day run in theaters, especially in Tamil Nadu and Kerala. The Telugu and Hindi versions recently hit the screens, contributing to the film's impressive box office total. However, the ongoing legal dispute casts a shadow over the film's success. Details surrounding the case remain unclear, and further developments are awaited.
