Cheating case against Samantha's Godfather

Ace filmmaker Gautham Menon, whom Samantha considers as her godfather in the Industry, is facing criminal charges for allegedly cheating his close buddy Jayaraman to the tune of Rs 4.5 crore.

Based on the petition filed by Jayaraman, a Chennai civil court has issued an interim stay against the director from doing any film. With this order, Gautham isn't permitted to direct or produce films at the moment.

According to Jayaraman's version, Gautham Menon had taken Rs 4.5 crore in the year 2008 from him promising to do a film on his banner, but nothing materialized. Instead of keeping the promise, the director choose to delay the project though his friend is open to team up with him.

Claiming that he had an agreement which was signed by the director on November 27th in 2008, Jayaram has approached the court and the judgement came in his favor. Now, how does Gautham settles the issue with his friend is to be seen!
