Why AR Rahman was devastated?

Double Oscar Winner AR Rahman is unable to digest the fact that his fellow composer Aadesh Shrivastav is battling cancer and currently in a critical condition.
AR Rahman wrote on his twitter page: "Dear buddy Aadesh, I am devastated at hearing about your condition... Can't come to terms with it. May God help you ease your pain".
Since the past 45 days, Aadesh Shrivastav has been undergoing treatment at the Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Andheri, Mumbai. Even Amitabh Bachchan and Shahrukh Khan inquired about the composer's health condition.
A lot of noted personalities from the Music Community including Udit Narayan, Sonu Nigam and Shaan met him in the hospital. Director Shekhar Kapoor, Poonam Dhillon, Govind Nihlani, Kumar Sanu and Alka Yagnik were the others who paid a visit to the hospital.
