Satirical films often create a sensation because they deal with the present generation issues. A Tamil film titled 'Tamizh Padam' was released in 2010 and it was successful at the box office. It was a satirical film on the Tamil filmmakers. It was produced by Karunanidhi's grandson Dayanidhi Azhagiri. The same film has been remade into Telugu as 'Sudigadu' with a few changes.

Coming to the present, the makers are coming up with a sequel titled 'Tamizh Padam 2.0'. They have released the first look poster. Actor Shiva gave a pose similar to former TN Deputy CM O. Panneerselvam. It is to be remembered that O. Panneerselvam sat in a meditative pose in front of the Amma memorial when he announced a fight with Sasikala. Shiva's pose perfectly resembled OPS in the first look poster. Going by the poster, it can be understood that the sequel is going to be a satire on TN politics.

It is known that Tamil politics are reminding of a suspense thriller after the demise of Jayalalithaa. So, the movie is raising curiosity among the audience. Netizens are keen to watch the film and they are doing hungama with interesting posts. There is a social media post which reads "Kids wait for 2.0, Men wait for Vishwaroopam 2, legends wait for Tamizh Padam 2.0'.
