Actresses Demand Justice And Relief From Casting Couch

In a round table meet at Press Club, Khairatabad, Hyderabad, actresses, woman activists, NGOs have met with Sri Reddy as the main host to talk about the burning problem of casting couch.
Sri Reddy said, "This is an issue of many women. This is not just my problem. These kind of sexual harassment issues have become normal and common towards Telugu women in our Industry. We have to fight and Goverment should help us."
Actress Apoorva who has been echoing support to Sri Reddy said, "We are here adjusting and acting in cinemas in such a cruel environment because we don't have other jobs. Big actors don't really care and talk about these issues. Whole Film Industry should come forward and eradicate this one."
Lady Activist from POW organisation said, "We have been hearing lot of similar complaints to what Sri Reddy has raised in few weeks. This is a huge problem and Goverment should set up a toll-free number for women to contact and directky file charges against such men."
An actress Shruthi couldn't hold back her tears. She said, "Indian Government is saying Swatcch Bharat should be practised everywhere. But we go to watch places where are there are no bathrooms or even places where we can relieve ourselves. We need changes in such treatment. Many vultures prey on us and then, say that we look fat and we are unfit for roles, after making several promises. Such people should be dragged to jails."
Many women echoed only one emotion that is that the casting couch should end and people should support them in their fight. They asked Telangana Government to view this issue specially and help them.
In a series of tweets, Ram Gopal Verma praised Sri Reddy as a Great person comparing her Ashoka, The Great King of India.
"Those condemning @MsSriReddy on how she can project herself as a social activist now,when in her past she did such deeds and language she used, are not realising that a change of heart is what made even the tyrant king Ashoka great
Ashoka the king,killed many people and then he had a change of heart and became a saviour of lakhs of people and that is why I think @MsSriReddy is as Great as Ashoka the Great
Men are now too scared to face the honesty of @MsSriReddy and all the women who are speaking against her are just jealous of her. Real truthful and sincere women will only follow Sri Stree Shakti"
