Heroine Promotion Lead To #BoycottAmazon

Corporate companies sign agreements with celebrities for brand endorsements and it is a common thing. Everything goes fine if the celebrity is away from controversies. If the celebrity makes a mistake, it will have the impact on the brands. It is to be remembered that Aamir Khan comments attracted a huge controversy a few months ago resulting in Snapdeal canceling their brand endorsement contract with him.
Bollywood character actor Swara Bhaskar also faced a similar situation. She is the brand ambassador of popular online portal Amazon. She has recently taken up an online campaign against the sensational Kathua, Unnao rapes. She recently held a poster and shared it on the social media. The poster reads "I am Indian, I am ashamed, 8 years old gangraped murdered in Devi-sthan Temple #Kathua."
Ever since she mentioned the Hindu temple name in her tweet, some netizens are slamming her. Recently Swara tweeted that she wants to buy a music system from Amazon. As Swara is the brand ambassador, some the netizens started uninstalling Amazon app. They are saying as long as Swara Bhaskar promotes the brand who insulted Hindus, they will not use Amazon. Considering the damage, Amazon immediately deleted Swara's tweet. While some netizens are running #BoycottAmazon campaign, others are supporting Swara that she has done nothing wrong.
