Anita Hassanandani debuted to Telugu films with 'Nuvvu Nenu' which was released sixteen years ago. She became busy after the success of 'Nuvvu Nenu' and went on to do several Telugu, Tamil, Kannada films but she could not get big break in her career. She tried to test her luck in Hindi later but she was not successful. Finally she settled down doing Hindi serials.
