Technicalities:

Songsrn composed by Sai Kartheek were appreciable. Suresh Bobbili's Background rnScore is in sync with the mood of the movie and elevates crucial scenes.rn Camera Work by Naveen Yadav is an asset. He succeeded in recreating thern 90s era with lighting and theme. Art Work is just perfect. Production rnValues are commendable. Producers deserve praise for believing in the rncontent. Director Saagar K Chandra left a mark of his own on 'Appatlo rnOkadundevadu'. Choosing such a complicated subject itself is a huge rnrisk, still he managed to come out with flying colors. The kind of rnknowledge & clarity of thought he have on the issue back in the 90s rncould be seen in the movie. Saagar score brownie points both as a writerrn & director. He emerges as one of the best among Young Crop of rnDirectors with this movie.

Analysis:

Firstrn things first, 'Appatlo Okadundevadu' is the biopic of Railway Raju, a rnCricketer-turned-Criminal, narrated with a realistic approach. What rnmakes it worth a watch is the 90s backdrop, performances and narration rnof a serious subject in a gripping manner.

Lot of aspects which rnhad an impact on the society in the 90s such as Cricket, Naxalism, rnRowdism and Globalization have been touched. Director Saagar deserves a rnspecial mention for giving importance to even the minute details. A Run rnTime of just 2 hours and 5 minutes hardly gives any scope for a dull rnmoment.

Audience get the feeling of watching the life of Railway rnRaju from close quarters during the coarse of the movie. Usually, We seern dramatization of scenes related to cricket in our movies. But, 'Appatlorn Okadundevadu' presents the struggles a cricketer has to go through in arn realistic manner. Everyone who likes cricket could relate to the rncharacter of Sri Vishnu.

Narrating the story from the angles of rnImtiaz Ali & Railway Raju sans taking anyone's side makes 'Appatlo rnOkadundevadu' a very special movie. Although the film starts on a slow rnnote, Momentum picks up once after reaching the conflict point. Intervalrn Block sets the right tone for the second half. Railway Raju's elevationrn as a gangster has been presented quite well. The last half-an-hour is arn major highlight of the movie. Twist in the penultimate portions is rnreally thrilling. Emotional Quotient & the way Climax was designed rnis very impressive. Linking of the threads with the help of a taut rnscreenplay is praise worthy. There is nothing to fault in the movie rnexcept for slow pace. Overall, 'Appatlo Okadundevadu' is a different rnfilm you shouldn't miss this Weekend.

Bottom Line: A Commendable Job!
