Can Sankranthi Magic Be Repeated?

Sankranthi is a special season for the movies down in the South. It is a great time for both the movie-goers and also the movie makers, as the festivity mood is carried all through the season. It was a great Sankranthi last year with big movies like 'Soggade Chinni Nayana', 'Express Raja', 'Nannaku Prematho' and 'Dictator' hit the screens during that season. They also made huge collections at the box-office.

It was indeed a good start even this year, with Chiranjeevi's 'Khaidi No.150', Bala Krishna's 'Gautami Putra Satakarani' and Sharwanand's 'Shathamanambhavathi'. All the three movies made huge collections and stood as the blockbusters at the box office.

It is now, such a high-time in Tollywood, as three big movies hit the theaters today. Rana-Kajal starrer Nene Raju Nene Mantri, Nithin- Megha Aakash starrer Lie, Boyapati Srinu- Rakul Preet starrer Jaya Janaki Nayaka are the three Telugu movies which hit the theaters today. Also, Dhanush's VIP-2 being release in Tamil and Telugu, it is indeed a busy Friday.

As it is a long-weekend with Independence day coming, the movies are expected to do great at the theaters. When this is a huge plus, it is also a huge minus for the movie makers. Because when multiple releases are scheduled, the movie with a negative talk may not be encouraged at all by the audience. So, it is a crucial time for the movie makers of these movies. But, so far all the movies are being hyped and there is an anticipation surrounding each movie which will enhance the initial collections.

A positive talk about the movie will pull a huge crowd to the theaters. Going by the trailers and promos, it seems like all the three movies are going to do great with respect to their genres. After all, the deciding factor lies in the hands of the audience. Let us wait to see how well these movies will do at the theaters. If everything goes well, this season will be no lesser than Sankranthi in Tollywood.
