HighLights : Baahubali 2 Pre-Release Event

The event began with the screening of 'Baahubali: The Beginning' to the large gathering present at the venue.
Why Kattappa killed Baahubali? - This is the question everyone has been asking since the release of Part 1. A Clip in which people from across the country have been asking the same question have been screened at the Pre-Release Event.
An AV (Audio-Visual) about Radeon, Visual Effects Team behind Baahubali, has been showcased. About 2 lakh crore pixels have been used for creating a visual spectacle like 'Baahubali'.
AMD Vice President Roy Taylor: 'We saw great films like Godzilla, Ben-Hur, Titanic, Avatar and now Baahubali. We are very excited, this collaboration has produced something incredible'.

For the first time ever, A Feature Film is being released with a new technology known as photo-realistic VR. The VR Experience will be available for Baahubali Fans from May 1st Week.
Writer YV Vijayendra Prasad: '5 Years Ago, He asked me for a story about Kings why because Prabhas is already a 'Raju'. He put the condition - Female Characters should be strong & take the story forward, Gray Character (Good Individuals turning Bad, for example Kattappa) should be there. 3-4 Days later, I narrated the character of Kattappa to Rajamouli. I have seen brightness in Rajamouli's eyes when I said 'Kattappa who is a loyal servant kills the warrior king Baahubali'. Few days later, I narrated the introduction scene of Sivagami. Thereafter, We began preparing the story based on these characters and got the bound script within 3-4 months. The dream became a reality because of two people - Prabhas (who dedicated four years of his life to this project) & Rajamouli (without him this wouldn't have been possible. Producers Shobu Yarlagadda and Prasad Devineni never showed any sign of fear or restlessness though huge money is at stake. They always had smile on their faces. These two people are the real heroes of the project'.
Cinematographer KK Senthil Kumar: 'When I was undergoing training in a Film Institute, They used to show us Tamil, Bengali, Hindi & other language Films except Telugu. Today, The whole world has been talking about Baahubali. I am so proud to be a part of this film. If Rajamouli continues to set new benchmarks, He will be called as the James Cameron of Hollywood. Prabhas is Today the biggest star in India…bigger than Khans and anyone'.
VFX Supervisor Kamala Kannan: 'Baahubali…nothing can be bigger than this! The entire Visual Effects Studios in the country have worked for Baahubali, which is something I never imagined before. Shobu would give me anything but not time. This is my 7th film with Rajamouli (Sye to Baahubali 2)…It's a great honour to be with you sir!'.
Production Designer Sabu Cyril: 'I understood the scale of Baahubali after Rajamouli narrated the waterfall sequence. Never expected I would be doing such a huge film with Prabhas. When we were shooting the first schedule in Kurnool, Countless people have come to watch Baahubali. Immediately, I called my wife to share this experience of mine'.

Line Producer MM Srivalli was described as Sivagami on the sets of Mahishmati.
An AV of few Fan-Made Trailers of 'Baahubali 2' were screened. Then, The theatrical trailer of 'Baahubali: The Conclusion' has been screened on the giant screen. Reactions of fans upon watching the promo has been presented in the form of an AV.
Suma asked Hero Nani, 'If you are Baahubali, who will be your choice for Bhallaladeva's role?'. The Anchor herself suggested 'Eega' Villain Sudeep would be a better option. Nani refused to pick up alternatives for the roles of Sivagami and Devasena.
Subbaraju: 'Baahubali has been branded as an Indian Film. Thank you very much for giving this wonderful opportunity. Thanks Shobu & Prasad for giving us a great platform. Prabhas…thank you very much for your support.'
Ramya Krishna: 'I have no words. I thank everyone from my bottom of my heart…Vijayendra Prasad for conceiving the character, Rajamouli for choosing me as Sivagami, K Raghavendra Rao who gave me my first break and the whole unit for being patient for 5 years'.
Sathyaraj: 'After being part of 250-odd films, Today people across the country knew me as Kattappa'.
When asked why did he kill Baahubali, Sathyaraj replied: 'Producer Shobu paid me huge amount to kill Prabhas. Even my Director Rajamouli wants me to do the same. Hence, I killed him. Why would I kill my Darling Prabhas for any other reason?'.
D Suresh Babu: 'To the best director this country has, best producer, best film…I wish them all the best'.
Nasser: 'A big thanks for the whole unit for making this dream a reality'.
Tamanna: 'Even after two years, People still talk about Baahubali and are very excited about Part 2. Now, People treat me like a girl from AP'.
Krishnam Raju: 'Prime Minister Narendra Modi claimed he himself is Kattappa. That's one of the proudest moment in my life'.
K Raghavendra Rao: 'March 29th could be Ugadi, but April 28th is The Baahubali New Year'.
Producer Shobu Yarlagadda: 'None of us worked for Money but with lots of Passion. Rajamouli is talented, hard working and uncorrupted by money. Hence, Baahubali has became what it is Today. Prabhas didn't ask any questions though he spent 4 years on this project. Rana carried Baahubali on his shoulders, whether its Hyderabad or Bollywood or Internationally. Everybody worked so hard! Based on Suresh Babu's advise, Me and Rana approached Karan Johar with few stills for Hindi release of Baahubali 1. Karan had seen the potential in the movie and that's how we conquered one of the toughest markets (Bollywood). Thank you Dharma Productions for being a part of our journey. Ramoji Rao has supported us very well in the past five years. Thanks to him for what he has done!'.
Karan Johar thanked SS Rajamouli & Producers for giving him an opportunity for making him a small part of India's Greatest Project: 'After 67-Years, Baahubali has created a magic like Mughal-e-Azam. I would say Rajamouli is a Global Filmmaker…He is in the league of Steven Spielberg, James Cameron & Christopher Nolan. His narrative has soul..his cinema has strength..his humble personality makes me feel so tiny. My achievements aren't even 1/10th of what he achieved in the last 5 years. Baahubali is the beginning of a journey that inspires thousands of filmmakers. This movie has won the hearts of global audience. Cast…Prabhas, Anushka, Tamanna and Rana…I want to teach Hindi actors this is what pure strength & dedication is like. We are so honoured to be a tiny part of this magnificent magnum opus'.
Music Director MM Keeravani: 'I had not only composed music but also go an opportunity to sing a song'.
Keeravani invites SS Rajamoulirn on stage by singing a song special written keeping his Chota Bhai in rnmind. Everyone at the venue gave a standing ovation to Jakkanna. 'Actually, Rajamouli wanted to use,'Why Kattappa killed Baahubali?' in rnthe trailer initially. After I lent my voice in a fierce manner, rnRajamouli informed me that he just need 'Why?'. That's why we used only 'Why' in the trailer of Baahubali 2 and 100 million views gives us rnimmense pleasure,' he says.
Anushka: 'I should thank Rajamouli for casting Me as Devasena. 5 years has been so special and we saw each one of us grow. I don't know how Shobu and Prasad invested so much on a project. Even if I hadn't played Devasena, I would have been in the audience cheering for Team Baahubali as Rajamouli, Rama and Keeravani are like family to Me. I want to thank the whole team for making me a part of it. Prabhas hasn't done anything other than working for Baahubali since the past 5 years. I think all of us has learnt something from each other.'
Rana Daggubati: 'My experience on the sets of Mahishmati will always be cherished by me for the rest of my life. Prabhas will be my all time favorite co-star no matter how many films we work together. I miss Srivalli garu the most. Rajamouli…Thank you for making me Bhallaladeva. I wish to work with cast and crew of Baahubali again'.
Prabhas made a grand entry on the stage in a specially designed song & dance sequence. 'Hi Darlings…Love You Too!,' says Prabhas.
Rajamouli: 'I should thank Ramoji Rao who stood as backbone and offered us this venue for the event. Thanks to Police Commissioner Magesh Baghavath for taking this event prestigiously. Krishnam Raju's blessings will also be on us. Thanks to my guru K Raghavendra Rao! I should thank Direction Department, Art Directors, Concept Artistes, Choreographers. Prem Rakshit composed the arrow fight between Prabhas and Anushka. Fight Master Solomon is the best in the World. Costumer Krishna has done a terrific job. Editor Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao has done a fine job. VFX Team Makuta is like my own studio'.
'Senthil for travelling with me for 5 years. Shobu sir, Thank you sir! You were sleeping when I narrated the script of Baahubali. It came as a jolt and my ego was hurt. VFX Supervisor Kamala Kannan is my teacher. Thank you Rama Rajamouli for being supportive and teaching me how to balance professional/personal life. Karthikeya - I think he will be a very good producer. He came up with the idea of Baahubali 2 Trailer. Altogether, 25 Versions has been cut. Music Director MM Keeravani has created the AVs for all the Lead Cast and Technicians. Production Team is the most hard-working team of Baahubali'.
'I used to question myself what have I done to Prabhas? When we went to Mumbai for trailer release, Media Persons were screaming for Prabhas. I got my answer'.
Prabhas: 'Hi Darlings…Love You, Thank You! You (Fans) waited for 2 years for each part of Baahubali. I would try my best to give two films every year form now onwards. Thanks to all the artistes, technicians and great producers. I would conclude with the dialogues - Nuvvu Pakkana Undaga, Nannu Champevadu Inka Puttaledu Mama & Vadidhi Thappu Ani Telindhi, Thala Thegindhi! Thank you Darlings…Good Night.'
