Mass hero Ravi Teja is all set to start his upcoming movie. Mythri movie makers who recently got the blockbuster with Rangastalam is bankrolling 2 of Ravi Teja's movies. The actor has already started the shooting of his movie under the direction of Srinu Vaitla. Under the same production banner, he accepted another script by Santosh Srinivas. Recently the casting call was given for this film as the makers are in search of a 6-7-year-old girl.
This appeal itself is a proof that the movie is nothing but the remake of Tamil super hit movie Theri. Vijay played the main lead in the movie and senior actress Meena's daughter played the daughter role of Vijay. She is definitely the special attraction in the movie and we have to wait and see how the new girl will act in the Telugu version. In fact, Theri movie was dubbed into Telugu with the title Policeodu. Producer Dil Raju released the movie grandly but it failed at the Telugu box office. Why is Ravi Teja remaking the same film is confusing the fans. But the movie seems to be a mixture of so many films.
Srinivas initially wanted to make Pawan Kalyan do this film but as power star bid his goodbye to the movies, he approached Ravi Teja and convinced him to play the lead. In Tamil version, Samantha and Amy Jackson played the female leads and the heroines in Telugu version are not yet finalized. The shooting of the movie is much likely to go on floors soon and is expected to hit the screens next summer.
