Mahesh Babu has delivered two of the biggest hits with Dookudu and Srimanthudu after 2010.
Ram Charan after Magadheera, delivered a considerable hit only with Dhruva, while other hit films have been staying at Rs. 40 to 50 crores range.
Mahesh movie Dookudu collected Rs. 55 crores collections and Srimanthudu collected Rs. 85 crores. Until, Khaidi No. 150, Srimanthudu is the Non-BB highest grosser in Telugu Cinema.
But with Rangasthalam and Bharat Ane Nenu performing similarly in their respective first weekends, many are thinking has Mahesh market come down?
Mahesh is undoubtedly the biggest Superstar in Telugu Cinema, today, but his film Bharat Ane Nenu that got pre-relesse business of 110 crores, just collected Rs. 57.4 crores in the first weekend which close to the Rs. 56.96 crores figure of Rangsthslam in its first weekend.
Rangasthalam pre-release business range is Rs. 85 crores and the movie till now, collected Rs. 110 crores distributor share Worldwide.
Gross for both the movies is around Rs. 90 crores and Bharat Ane Nenu had even wider release than Rangasthalam. We have to say that Mahesh market after two huge disasters has slightly come down and with Rangasthalam, Ram Charan market has increased.
If Mahesh delivers back-to-back hits again, mainly a film that works big time in Ceeded with more action elements, Mahesh might again move a step ahead.
