This Promotional Campaign Started Becoming Too Old!

Bollywood industry, started releasing singles from their music albums rather than releasing all of the songs at a time. The logic behind this is to keep the movie in the news and eye of public every week with new singles coming out.

That worked for several films like Ae Dil Hein Mushkil and Raees big time. Looking at such a campaign, Dangal also followed the route. Telugu Cinema adapted that change in strategy for several big films. Megastar Chiranjeevi started the trend with his comeback movie, Khaidi No.150 and the campaign worked big time.

Devi Sri Prasad tunes became instant hits and the buzz for the movie increased day by day reaching to its peak by Pre-release function. The success propelled many to follow the suite but none of them have been able to repeat the same success. Even Pawan Kalyan failed as his Katamarayudu songs failed to ignite enough buzz.

Recently, Naga Chaitanya's Rarandoyi Veduka Chuddam team also started promoting in the same fashion by releasing singles. Even though Devi Sri Prasad is at the helm as the composer of the songs, the music did not go as viral as expected. The songs are receiving good praise but the campaign seems to have wore off. Well, may be it is time for marketing people to come up with new ideas, once again!
