Dhanush Set To Direct A Big Budget Period Film

Hero Dhanush achieved stardom in Tamil films with despite his ordinary looks. He has not confined himself to just acting but he went on to prove himself as a lyric writer, singer, producer and as a director. It is known that his directorial debut 'Pa Paandi' became a success at the box office and the movie won the critical acclaim as well. There were reports in the media that 'Pa Paandi' will be remade into Telugu with Mohan Babu.

Now, Dhanush is getting ready to direct his second film. Unlike his first film, he is set to direct a high budget flick this time. This is going to be a period film and it will be bankrolled by Sri Thenandal Films. It is known that recent Tamil blockbuster 'Mersal' was produced by the same banner. The buzz from the Kollywood says that Dhanush will be one of the lead actors in his directorial and another Kollywood star hero is going to share screen-space with him. This movie will hit the sets in the second half of 2018.

It is known that Dhanush is presently working on multiple films.. 'Ennai Nokki Paayum Thotta' with Gautham Menon.. and 'Vada Chennai' in the direction of Vetrimaaran. Apart from these two films, his Hollywood debut film 'The Extraordinary Journey Of The Fakir' is also getting ready for release. On the other hand, he is the producer of Rajinikanth film 'Kaala'.
