IWDA Awards: B.Jaya, Vijaya Nirmala honoured

We all know that there is increasing criticism on the film awards but that doesn't deter the award ceremonies. Moreover, audience show interest towards the award winners as well. On the occasion of Women's Day, several prominent personalities were honoured with IWDA awards in an event organised by AP Tourism Development wing, V Team, J World at Gurajada Kalakshetram at Siripuram, Vizag.
Senior actress, director Vijaya Nirmala was honoured with Lifetime Achievement Award. Vijaya Nirmala's son actor Naresh accepted the award on behalf of his mother. Popular director Jaya B. was presented with an award in Directors category. Seetha Madabhushi, actress Sana, Padmini Kachhapi, Nazareth Hazan, Haarika Kolivelisi, Kalpana, Pallavi, Kalasa Medapureddy, Marchina De Cruz.. are other other prominent persons from various fields who are honoured at the event.
Director Jaya expressed her happiness for receiving the award. She said that "I feel very happy that Vijaya Nirmala garu, who is an inspiration for all of us is honoured with Lifetime Achievement Award. My happiness got doubled to receive IWDA Award as a Director in the same event where Vijayanirmala garu honoured with Lifetime Achievement Award. I shot my movies in Visakhapatnam. I will shoot my next film here in Vizag. This is a memorable moment for me to receive this award in the presence of Vizag people and so many talented women. Among all my films, 'Vaisakham' is getting very good appreciation and winning many awards."
