Overseas: Dull Weekend For Telugu Films

Overseas is a good market for Telugu films and our star hero films turn out to be money spinners if they get hit talk. There are no notable star hero films this weekend but two romantic entertainers of mid-range heroes released.. Nandamuri Kalyan Ram's 'Naa Nuvve' and Sudheer Babu-Mohan Krishna Indraganti's 'Sammohanam'.
Nandamuri hero's 'Naa Nuvve' turned out to be a damp squib right from the first show. It is better not to talk about the weekend collections of the film. To put it in numbers the movie has collected $9,000 on Saturday. On the other hand, Sudheer Babu film 'Sammohanam' received positive reviews and encouraging mouth talk. But still, the movie is not performing great at the ticket windows. The movie grossed $150K on Friday and its collections on Saturday are $ 128K. Saturday.
Sammohanam released in a minimum number of screens because of the release of Hollywood films and this may be one of the reasons for the low collection figures. On the whole, it is a dull weekend for Telugu film at the US Box Office.
