Earlier, the same role was offered to Suriya but the actor denied to be part of the movie after discussing about the script. Finally, Naga Ashwin got Dulquer Salmaan to play the all important Gemini Ganesan character in the movie. Vyjayanthi movies is producing the movie and soon the shooting of the movie will start.
