Evaru - A Freemake Or Remake Of Spanish Film?

Upon watching the teaser of 'Evaru' starring Adivi Sesh, Regina Cassandra and Naveen Chandra, Telugu People who were used to watching World Cinema wondered if its the freemake or remake of 2017 Spanish Flick 'Contratiempo'. English version of the same thriller was released as 'The Invisible Guest'. For the Hindi Version 'Badla', Amitabh Bachchan and Tapsee Pannu shared screen space yet again after 'PINK'.
The twist here would be that a Male is arrested on charge of killing his Girlfriend in the Original but a Female was charged with murder in the Hindi & Telugu Versions. Both the Male in the Original and Female in the Remake claims innocence. In both the versions, An investigation officer does everything possible to unearth the mystery.
If 'Evaru' was inspired from the Spanish Film, Movie Buffs could expect the Thriller to keep them guessing who is the killer till the very end. Whether if it's a original story or a remake/freemake remains to be a big mystery for now. Who will clarify it?
