Khuda Has To Look After Fidaa!

Sekhar Kammula directorial 'Fidaa' starring Varun Tej released yesterday and it has garnered postive talk. Sekhar Kammula fans are happy with the film and they felt that 'Kammula is back'. Response in A centeres is good for the film. Opening collections in the overseas appear to be good. But the movie couldn't attract the audience in B, C centers.
The movie has got decent response and good collections in cities..but the response in small cities & towns is disappointing. Trade analysts are saying that the occupancy is less in the theaters. Varun's last film 'Mister' was a disaster.. but it has got good response in mass centers on the first day. Theaters were full on the release day. 'Fidaa' situation is different. It has received good talk but the response is poor.
Usually Sekhar Kammula films connect to the urban audience more. 'Happy Days' was a youthful film, so it had wider reach and went on to become a super hit. Except 'Happy Days', None of his other films turned out to be solid hits at the box office. Only A center audience received his films well. 'Fidaa' is not an exception. It is doubtful how the class entertainment in 'Fidaa' will appeal to the mass audience.
First half runs well with good comedy dose.. but it is tough for mass audience to bear serious.. dragged second half. Mass audience have expressed their disappointment over the film in the very first day itself. If the situation of the film is dull in the weekend, it may further deteriorate on Monday. The buyers are worried about their investment now.
